Talk about a hole in the wall. This is one place I stop at when I find myself in Honolulu. Along the long strip of King Street, where you can find many Vietnamese, Japanese, local food stops, Aloha Pho is hidden in a mall next to CrossFit HTF. Talk about a perfect meal to have after a gruelling workout. Nothing fancy, completely down to earth, don’t expect a fancy restaurant.
Their classic bowl of beef pho comes with all the goods, tons of basil and onions - just the way I like it. Their bánh xèo is absolutely fantastic - the ingredients of pork, bean sprouts, scallions, and so much more… it’s just to die for. And did I mention their deep fried chicken wings?! It’s a must at this family owned joint. If you love coffee, be sure to also get their Vietnamese coffee (hot or cold). They also offer spring rolls, chicken pho, and a lot of vermicelli and rice dishes both wet and dry. Be sure to stop at Aloha Pho (more than once!)
