Root & Bone

What a treat! Root & Bone is a small restaurant, with crazy line ups so be sure to make a reservation well in advance if you can! The southern comfort of this restaurant is just simply perfect for a winter's night. The food - deep fried chicken (a whole or half), the cornbread soufflé (something we've never experienced until now) and so much more. Root & Bone might be a little on the louder side because of the small space, but it is definitely a tasty discovery. If you're in NYC in the east village, be sure to go check them out! We had biscuits to start as well as the cornbread soufflé which was ever so fluffy and delicious.  A whole chicken was worth it, as well as the braised short bread meatloaf dish - very flavourful and very filling. And to top it off, go for the macaroni and cheese. If you're missing great southern food, Root & Bone is the place to go.
